Find your membership path
Our online application includes both Regular and Associate membership options. Marines, Marine veterans, eligible Navy personnel, other veterans, and civilian supporters can use the application to select the appropriate path. The detachment reviews applications and eligibility.
How to join
1. Complete your application
Apply online and select Baton Rouge – Choctaw as your detachment. Our detachment number is 778.
2. Upload your service documents
Upload your DD-214 or other requested service documentation directly through the online application, when applicable.
Need a copy of your records? Request military service records from the National Archives.
3. Complete the membership process
Arrange your dues and connect with the detachment. New membership requires review and approval at a detachment meeting; submitting an application or payment does not complete approval.
